Natural Gas Operations
Overview
Natural gas plays a critical role in the global energy transition. It is a reliable, high-efficiency energy source that is displacing coal-fired power while backstopping the intermittency of renewable power sources.
We build and operate safe and reliable energy infrastructure. This includes our 93,300 km (57,900 miles) network of natural gas pipelines, which supplies more than 25 per cent of the clean-burning natural gas consumed daily across North America to heat homes, fuel industries and generate power.

ANR Pipeline
With access to major producing basins in North America, the ANR system transports natural gas from Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana to cities and towns in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio.
LEARN MOREANR Storage
Supporting the ANR Pipeline system and ready to serve Midwestern communities, the ANR Storage fields have a combined maximum working storage capacity of 57 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
LEARN MOREBison Pipeline
The Bison Pipeline stretches 302 miles (486 km) across Wyoming and Montana to North Dakota, where it connects with another interstate natural gas pipeline.
LEARN MOREBison XPress Project
TC Energy’s 1,412-mile (2,272-km) Northern Border Pipeline Company (NBPL) connects natural gas reserves in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin with consumers in the Midwestern U.S. as well as receives and transports U.S.-produced natural gas.
LEARN MORECanadian Mainline
TC Energy’s Canadian Mainline safely delivers natural gas from Alberta and B.C. to eastern markets.
LEARN MORECER — End of Life Cycle Program - Natural Gas
Learn more about TC Energy's federally regulated End of Life Cycle Program with the Canada Energy Regulator (CER).
LEARN MORECoastal GasLink
The Coastal GasLink natural gas pipeline project will run approximately 670 km (416 miles) in length from Dawson Creek to a facility near Kitimat, B.C.
LEARN MOREColumbia Gas Transmission
Extending from New York state to the Midwest and Southeast, TC Energy’s Columbia Gas Transmission system moves the natural gas relied upon by millions of Americans for their energy and heating needs.
LEARN MOREColumbia Gas Transmission Modernization Program
Modernizing our Columbia Gas Transmission pipelines involves replacing miles of steel pipe, upgrading compression facilities and integrating cutting edge maintenance technology at hundreds of sites.
LEARN MOREColumbia Gas Transmission Storage
With more than 30 storage locations in four states, Columbia Gas Transmission Storage has enough capacity to handle almost 630 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
